My g-g-grandmother was Dorothy FLEMING, b. 14 December 1853 in Bolton, Ontario. Her parents were Andrew Fleming and Mary Ann McCune. Family lore has it that Dorothy's mother died early in her life, in a sleigh on the way home from Toronto. She then went to live with a married older sister, whose last name was DYNES. The index to the 1871 Ontario census (Toronto Gore district) lists a Dorothy Fleming in the same household as a RICHARD DYNES.
