Hi Ken, There was both a "Nellie" and a "Polly". My theory is that Anne Baptized in Seagoe was daughter named Mary Anne Dynes. A Mary Dines marries Philip Wheeler in Baltimore. Her mother or step-mother was likely called Mary so they just called her Anne. As an adult and Mary likely gone, she marries as Mary Dines. Of course daughter Mary Anne would translate to "Polly". That's my theory. One of the family histories I have since read mentions half brother Francis so I agree he is male and also mentions Polly as either sister OR half-sister. Your theory of the three baptisms possibly having the same mother, Anne or Mary could sure be the Mary Anne scenario again. Then we would be left with Francis being baptized and his father, Francis, being married in a different parish or even different church denomination. That could explain why no record of the son, Francis, was in Seagoe parish. Realize, Ken, this is just me thinking of possibilities. Barbara Dynes and Lois Burke have been sending me lots of family history. It has been wonderful. But I still have not found my Nancy getting married and having children! Let me know what your thoughts are on finding Francis' marriages and the daughter "Polly" scenario. Can you search anything to see if Mary Chambers Dynes was Mary Anne Chambers Dynes? If that is true, then we are back to not knowing the name of wife #1. Deana
