Brian, my Dynes line is from the Drumcree Parish. Ken Rolston's register records has confirmed a number of family baptisms in the 1820s and 1830s and the marriage of the eldest son in 1843. The parents were William and Mary (?Robinson?) and they were from the Derryvane Townland. We know nothing of William and are now trying to connect him to other area Dynes. We don't know if he was from originally from Drumcree or perhaps he wandered over from the Seagoe Parish since it seems that Dynes' were more prevalent there. I believe that he would have be born in the late 1790s or very early 1800s since the first baptism of his children recorded in Drumcree was 1821. We do not know if William had any brothers or sisters. Speculating a bit here, I noticed in the Drumcree marriage register that a William Dynes witnessed the marriage of a Elizabeth Dynes in 1840, perhaps his sister. Would there be a record of a William Dynes in the Seagoe register that might fit the description here?
