Michelle, Henry Dykes, son of John and Judith (Lewis) was
the Soldier and Seaman who received 100 ac military land
grant. He and his wife, Delaney/Delilah Haley, moved to
Bourbon Co., Kentucky. Part of Bourbon County became Clark
County.

Another Henry Dykes signed up in Loudon Co., Virginia, as a soldier during the Rev. War, moved to Ohio and he filed for his Pension in Pike County, Ohio.He stated in his Pension that he sold his land in Virginia after the war and the money that he received had no value when he tried to buy land in Greenbrier Co., Va. so he moved to Ohio when that land opened up for settlement.

James Dykes, born 1791 Bourbon Co., Ky., lived in District 2, Clark Co., Ky. in 1850. He was a son of John Richard Dykes and Tabitha Haley.James married (1) ....., and
had:
1: Henry Dykes, born 1817 Ky., a Plasterer, marriedSarah (?Arnold), born in 1812 Ky.
2: Polly, born c1818 Ky.
3: James, born 1820 Ky, a Plasterer, married by 9 August 1850, Mary I. Fielder, born 1834, daughter of Harvey Fielder.
James Dykes married 1823(2) Susan....., born in 1805, and had 8 children.
