Aquilla and Rachael Dyess/Georgia & Alabama
My great grandmother was Harriet Susan Dyess, daughter of Aquilla and Rachael Dyess, born in Crawford County, Georgia in 1832 and died in Clay County, Georgia in 1915.I am finding conflicting information on my great-great grandparents and need help to sort it out. I find information showing that Aquilla died in Webster County, Georgia in 1850 but he and Rachel were living in Henry County, Alabama well past that time.I am unable to confirm any death information for him but census records indicate that they both lived in Henry County, Alabama until their deaths. My confusion with Rachel is her last name. Their marriage record shows that her last name was Hunt but also find records indicating that it was Goodin. It is hard to believe that there were two Aquillas who both married ladies named Rachel and named all of their children exactly the same.Does anyone have anything that will resolve the info conflict?I would appreciate any kind of help.
