Dyess had a son John, whose son Christopher Rankin Dyess was born 1826 -
27 Lawrence Co.MS, and died Mar.1866 in Clarke Co.MS. 2 children by 1st wife Rebecca Gordon. 6 by 2nd wife Sydney
______ (Gordon?). 5th child was John R.
Dyess b.3/22/1855 MS, d.10/29/1924
Wayne Co.MS. Md.Dora Jane Thomas in Clarke Co.MS - I list dtr. Alma Dyess.
William was my g-g-g-grandfather. His grandfather was Henry Dyess(or Dias) died
in Bath Co.NC.
Am trying to name the original Dyess immigrant. From Ireland? Wales?
