FTDNA began full genome autosomal DNA testing in May, 2010. It is called Family Finder. I would highly recommend this test as it renders a plethora of information pertaining to relatives going back five generations with good specificity. It also reaches back ten generations with lesser accuracy. It allows the subject to investigate familial associations based on each individual chromosome which, to a degree, allows you to differentiate how you are related. Additionally by downloading the promethease software, one can examine their proclivity to diseases in which they are genetically predisposed.

Lastly, GEDMATCH.COM collates the data in a very detailed display to reveal other relatives down to the 10th generation. Like promethease, this is a completely free website which incorporates results from other genetic genealogy services such as 23andme.

Check it out. If you want to view a demonstration, go to "Triangulate on Match Results" and enter my kit # 182094.
