I have relied on the work of Al Rempel, who reports the couple Peter Peters, born 1779, and Anna Redekop, born 1778, with 3 children: Katharina, b. 21 Mar 1804, Maria, b. 21 Oct 1810, and Johann, born 20 May 1817. This Johann is reportedly the spouse of Agatha Dyck, married 8 Mar 1860. Al cites the Odessa State Archives as the source of the July 1801 marriage of Peter Peters and Anna Redekop. I do not know the evidence that connects the above 3 children to Peter and Anna. I will email Al and find out. Apparently at least 9 children are reported as being born to the couple Klaas Peters and Sara Schellenberg. It would be possible for Johann's birth (20 May 1817) to fit between the births of Sara (18 May 1816) and Paul (25 March 1818). However, although that is a possibility, because there were so many people running around back then with the same names, we really need records that connect parents to children. What is the evidence by which you have connected Johann, 2nd spouse of Agatha Dyck, to parents Klass Peters & Sara Schellenberg? I am descended from Klaas, your Sara's younger brother, and Katharina Loewen, through their oldest son, Heinrich (Henry) Peters, so I guess both you and I are chips off of the Klaas Peters/Agatha Dyck block. Thank you for your efforts to put together info on this branch of the family. Martin Notify Administrator about this message?
