thank you for the info on the Peters family. In reading over my original post, I see that I erred in stating that Agatha Dyck's second spouse Johann Peters was the older brother of Klaas Peters, her first spouse. As far as I can see, the relationship between Johann, born 1817, and Klaas born 1820, if any, would be more distant than brothers.
My question today is about the date of death of Johann. I found your posting of a death date of 30 Jan 1870, and I found another posting with the source reported to be the 1843 Bergthal Gemeinde Buch, and this latter source states he died 30 Jun 1870. I suppose the original document might be hard to read, and it may be difficult to see whether it is Jan or Jun. Could you take a look and let me know what it looks like to you?
