Maxine, there may be a relationship here, but it could be difficult to uncover. My "Dueck" ancestors left Prussia for Molotschna (in the Ukraine) around 1800-1810. They then emigrated to the Henderson, Nebraska, area in the 1870s.

I also have another ancestry line that calls themselves "Dick" but they also emigrated from Molotschna to the Henderson, Nebraska, area in the 1870s and 1880s. Some of their relatives settled in Minnesota and Kansas (and MAYBE in Oklahoma). These are my GG Grandparents Gerhard (b. 8 Nov 1836) and Helena (Dick) Dick (b. 15 Sep 1836), both born in Molotschna.

I don't have any record of your grandfather Henry J. Dyck, but if you have, or find, any evidence or even hints of a linkage I would be glad to pursue this further with you.
