My Grandfather Edward F. Dyas born in Dublin in 1890 Great Grandfather Charles Dyas born 1855 married to Mary Grogan 1888 Grt Grt Grand father Edward Dyas Printer in Dublin married to Jane McCleod.Grand fathers brothers were George, John, Albert. Albert's side of family still in Ireland. Don't know if this helps, but every little bit helps.
Have been told that Dyas name was originally Dutch derivation of DIAZ spelling was Dyjas.
J dropped in 1600's as name moved into England and Ireland.
