hello linda, my book is on loan right now. you should here back from them soon, the thomas and george duvall in woodford co. are not your line. that are from daniel duVal the 1st. from virginia. you see that line spelled duvall alot in early kentucky. brobly becouse most of the duvalls in ky at that time spelled it duvall .but they never deliberately changed it. the reason the agusta ga. duvalls changed the spelling to duVal was to achieve socal promanace .george washington duvall was a very important person in ga. they found the duvalls in the south for the most part were simple farmers. good folks, but not social promanance. from the daniel duVal line came william duVal who had been the first govenor of florida and he and a lot of his kin were in the region and were very social promanant. .i know some kolks will not like this, but this history, history of the duvall family.for now, joe duvall.
