Hi, I'm looking for info on a Mitchell Vaul The first evidence we have of him is on the 1850 Shelby Co. IN cesus. He is 40 yrs old, living in what appears to be a boarding house, it says he is a printer, born in NY. Ten years later an M. Vaul is married, living in nearby Fountain Co. IN with two sons, plus one died at the age of five. One year later his wife is married to someone else youngest son is only a year old. Don't know what happened to him, if he died or they divorced. I cannot find any Vauls in NY during the time period he should have been there. It occurred to me that maybe he changed his name. I could find no record of his death or a divorce in Fountain Co. The LDS site has Mitchell Vaul's birth in 1834, so maybe these are two people, but I know for a fact some of the info on that site is wrong. Can anyone help me? Thank you, Donna
