I have run into a roadblock in researching my Duvall line. I am looking for information on Gideon Duvall (1812-1882). He married Sarah Powe (1825-1897). Sarah was the daughter of Thomas Powe and Martha E. Ellerbe. I know that Gideon lived most of his life (at least as an adult) in Cheraw, SC; but, either Gideon or his father came from the north (Maryland?) and was on his way west when he decided to settle in Cheraw. Additional information on this line follows:
