several people have emailed asking for more information on captian lewis duvall. date and place of birth ect. capt. lewis states his son william served in the rev, war from after the fall of charlston in 1780. william could not have been no older then 15. counting back . william was born around 1765. if capt lewis was age 20 at the time of william birth. that would place his birth at no late than 1745. there is no evidence to the place of capt. lewis birth or his parents that i know about. by the end of the war capt lewis had optained the rank of major,cammanding the little river regament stationed a charlston. formally the comand of col, levi casey. lewis held permunt rank of capt. and was paid a such .i hope this is some help with regards joe duvall.
