I want to thank you for the information. Is the Devol name in your family history? Is this the same Elizabeth who married second (after William died) to Christopher Champlin, son of Jeffery Champlin? Do you have any information on Wing Devol's children? Wing was my 3rd great grandfather and I only know of 2 children, Helem (my 2nd great grandfather and Josiah Hart (a younger brother). Helem had a daughter Emiline Barker (my great grandmother) and she married Daniel Gilpin. Daniel and Emiline had 6 children. Laurence J., Clarence Fyre, Fannie R., Daniel Hart, Ruth, and Max. Clarence is my grandfather. Clarence married Jennie Spillane. Clarence and Jennie had 3 children. Irene, Ruth, and Clarence. Clarence my father married Shirley Ann Miller. Clarence and Shirley have 4 children. Christine (myself), Gail Ann, Sharon, and Lawrence. I married William George Keysaer and we have 4 children. William, Heather, Michael and Benjamin.
As for Daniel and Emiline's kids I do not know who they married or if they have any kids. When I started doing research on the family tree my dad thought his grandmother (Emiline) died when he was very young. He was shocked when I found out she didn't die until 1945 (a year after he graduated). His father died when he was 13 and his mother died when he was 2, so he didn't know anything about the Gilpin family or the Devol family. I am still searching for Daniel's fathers parents. Daniel's father was Benjamin Franklin Gilpin and he married Eliza Jane Hill Aug. 30, 1835, in Marietta, Ohio. If you can help me with any of this information it would be greatly appreciated.
