Betty,

Miranda Julia DuVal, Maryland connections go back to Mareen Duvall of Middle Plantation. See the book of that name by Harry Wright Newman. I am not sure if Edward W. Duval was her Father or her Uncle. I know that Isaac Harding Duval who managed the Butler plantation in LA for awhile called was the nephew of of Edward W. Duval. Also check out the Duval's of Fort Smith, AR., Wheeling, Brooks Co. W. Virgina. I would love to share and learn more.
