Hello Mary, We are conducting a cemetery restoration project in cooperation with Loudon Park Cemetery of Baltimore, Maryland. The site within Loudon Park is called "Confederate Hill." If you would like to know more about this project, please contact me through my personal e-mail address at steves@toad.net. I dare not say more about this project. It seems that despite the fact that it is a non-profit historic preservation effort, to say more would risk the removal of my inquiries regarding these men from this message board. Some regard it as SPAM! In any case, here is what I know of the two Confederate veterans buried on "Confederate Hill," Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland. Frank M. DuVall, Co. C 2nd MD Inf. CSA – [Plot B-77a; No Marker] ADOPTED, Died 6/26/1908 at age 69. (Records of Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland.) Philip Barton DuVall, 1st MD Art. CSA – [Plot E-31; Unreadable] ADOPTED, Reburied from Virginia, 1874. (Records of Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland.) While both men have been adopted, only Frank M. Duvall has a new marker currently installed. The marker for Philip Barton Duvall will be ordered soon, with the goal of having it in the ground before our next dedication ceremony on June 4, 2005. We hope to gather as much information as possible on all the veterans buried on "Confederate Hill" and post it on our project web site. If you have anything that might relate to these veterans, or any other buried on "Confederate Hill," please elect to share it with others by allowing us to add it to our online archive. Sincerely, Steve Smith Baltimore, Maryland Notify Administrator about this message?
