Hi Patrick, One of the books on Mareen Duvall states that he had two marriages, but just about all researchers disagree with that and claim three marriages: His first marriage was with Mary Bouth bef 1658. She was born abt 1634 in Normandy, France, she died bef 1673. His second marriage was with Susannah in abt 1674 and the third with Mary Stanton after 1692.

This might help you on your Abraham Clark. Mareen Duvall's will: Elizabeth's inheritance was 375 acres of "Bowdell's Choice" lying on the western shore of the Patuxen River, over which her father became engaged in a law suit with Thomas Bowdell. By 1673, one half of "Bowdell's Choice" had come into the possession of Robert Tyler Sr. and it was the 375-acre tract which was willed by him to his son Robert. The loss of the Calvert County deed precludes when Bowdell conveyed to Tyler, but the law suit of 1683 says that it was purchased by Mareen Duvall and had not come to him as a dowry through any of his wives. This property was (at this time) only held by Elizabeth, her husband and her children. Elizabeth acquired possesion by marriage. Her husband, Abraham Clark, was the only son and heir of Abraham Clark Sr., who had been transported into the province in 1654 by George Barrett and who left a personal estate at his death valued at 323.2.2 pounds. Abraham Clark inherited "Essington" from his parent. Claim of marriage (also) to John Roberts.
The Clark family were settlers of Montgomery County, Maryland and owned acres of land in the Sligo area of Berry No. 5 Enumeration District.
I'm pretty sure that the William Orrick that Catherine Duvall married is really William Carrick. I'm descended from Anne Duvall (Elizabeth's sister). Anne married John Francis Carrick, brother to William.
