Betty,
I will ask at the Genealogy Society about the book "The Duvalls of Middle Plantation" and let you know. Middle Plantation is still a "working farm". The plantations in our area are not the "antebellum" plantations of the deep south. ei. Mississippi cotton plantation Manor Homes or "Tara" and "Twelve Oaks" They are probably austere in comparison. But still very impressive. Our family (Hopkins) owned Mount Airy in Davidsonville (1840). Jill
