Hi there! Its surprising to me that you havn't found any information on your ancestry
Gideon Duvall, as the name of his second son indicates Gideon Duvall was a descendant of
"Mareen Duvall of Midddle Plantation" a Huguenot refuge from France who settled in Maryland about 1650. Gideon must have named his son after his ancestor Mareen.

Your ancestor Gideon is mentioned on page 278, page 310 and others in the book "Mareen Duvall of Middle Plantation" by Harry Wright Newman (c. 1952) which is still being published by the "Descendants of Mareen Duvall".

I thought our family was the only one who did not know any details of the descendants of Mareen Duvall!

I can give you the phone number of the "Society's" represenatives if you would like.

Michael J Volz
7th Great Grandson of Mareen Duvall "the immigrant".
