Origins of Mareen the Emigrant
Posted by: Jed Duvall Date: July 09, 1998 at 11:53:27

Has anyone found out anything more about Mareen "The Emigrant" than what is in the "Middle Plantation" book? there are some references to Mareen swearing allegiance to the Scottish Army, and coming to America as an indentured servant to Captain John Buress, after being captured in battle by the English. Has any evidence been brought to light to prove/disprove this?

Also, has anyone visited Laval, and done any research from that side of the Atlantic?
