Laurens Co, SC DUVALLs 1700s

An article, abt 1900, in Atlanta, GA newspaper was about my 3Great-Grandmother's bro, John SILVEY. He was a prominent businessman in Atlanta. Article gave info on family background--one of ancestral names mentioned was DUVAL(L). John's father was Drury or Drewry SILVEY, b SC, prob Laurens Co, abt 1780, m Mary WOMACK in Oglethorpe Co, GA 1805. Drewry's parents are unknown, but his maternal grandparents appear to be Joseph & Eleanor MAHON of Laurens Co. One interesting possible connection is that Drewry was supposed to have been a horse trader as Joseph MAHON may also have been (one deed in Laurens Co has the word "horses" next to Joseph's signature). I saw someone relate a story on this forum abt Lewis DUVALL driving mules to GA. This seems very similar to how Drewry is supposed to have come to GA--selling horses on GA frontier--he was a very early settler in Atlanta area. Does anyone have info abt possible connection of SILVEYs-MAHONs to DUVALLs?
