Joshua Lewis Duvall was the oldest son of Benjamin Franklin and Nancy Totherow. He was named in honor of his grandfathers Joshua Totherow and Lewis Calvin. Joshua married Lillie Luella Davis Nov 20, 1887 at the home of her parents in Nantahala N.C.
Lillie was born June 11, 1871. Joshua and Lillie moved to Northern GA after they were married when his parents moved. They finally settled in Whitfield county near Dalton. Joshua was a farmer and a trader.
Johua died in 1941 in Whitfield county. Lillie outlived him by 30 years. She died March 1971 just three months short of her 100th birthday. They are both buried at Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Whitfield county. They had 10 children. (Romulus Cario, John Henry, Phillip Elmer, Charlie Lee, Etta Mae, Minnie Bell, Benjamin Truman, Willian Vernie, Pearl, Clifford. Thats all I have on Joshua. Hope this helps.
