DuVall, Lewis is thought to be the Rev. War soldier as far back as we have gone; He may have been in either S.C. or N.C.; Alexander Gabrial DuVall, Sr died about 1840 perhaps in Walker Co. Al; married to Dolly CROFT born about 1774; died perhaps between 1831-40 Walker Co AL.; Her parents were Frederick and Catherine CROFT; Alexander Gabriel DuVall born @1800-4; died @ 1872-80 in Itawamba Co. MS; first wife was Lucretia who died between 1860-9 in MS; His second wife was Mrs. Susannah Rutledge whom he married Nov. 1869.
