Hi! I have been looking for the marriage record of my wife's great-great grandfather ,Francois. Her great grandfather francois was born at St. Aubert on Oct. 4,1861, and his father is listed as Francois. And his mother as Marie Deschene(whose marriage I cannot find). From 1859 to 1865 six births are recorded at St. Aubert with the following names as parents; Noel-4 times, Francois-1 time, Francois-Noel-1 time. Marie Deschene-2 times, Marie Colie Deschene-1 time, Marie Colie Miville-1 time, Marie Col(+ some unintelligable letters)Deschene, and what looks like 'Vitaline' Miville-1 time. As the name Dupoleau dit Duval is often used in place of Duval(especially at St. Jean Port Joli), So is Miville dit Deschene used at various times in place of 'Deschene'. Could these MARIES be one and the same? The reason I need to find the marriage records of this Francois(or Noel Or Francois-Noel)parents' names. P.S. Is the Arthemise married to Joseph Gagnon in 1885 at St, Pamphlie the same Arthwmise born to Noel Duval and Marie Deschene at St Aubert in 1859? THANKS for any information that anyone can provide. Adelard Vaillancourt
