Are you aware a biography/family history of David V. Dutro, (George's brother), Dodson, MT, is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 978 & 979?

David was born, 10 Dec 1878, son of Daniel and Carolyn (McBurney) Dutro. Histories of Daniel and Carolyn & son George are included in this biography. Children of Daniel and Carolyn Dutro: Alice (Mrs. Rev. H.E. Clowes, San Diego, CA); Flora (Mrs. Arthur P. Knadler, Central Park, MT); George and David (Dodson,MT).

David V. Dutro was three years old when his family moved to Fort Benton, MT, where he was raised and educated. He learned the printing business and engaged in the newspaper business for 10 years. In 1906, he moved to Chester, MT, where he worked for three years as a post office employee and a mercantile clerk. He moved to Dodson, MT, and like his brother, George, homesteaded in that area. David became active in the selling of real estate. In 1912, he was appointed US land commissioner.

On 18 Feb 1914, Dodson, MT, David married Miss Ann Vaughn, born, 11 Sep 1892, Belfast, Ireland, daughter of Hugh and Margaret (Cotter) Vaughn. Dutro children: Vaughn Daniel, George Ferdinand.

I am not related.
