Surnames: DURYEE/Duryea, HEYER, WALLACE, VAN HOUTEN, TALLMAN, TRAPHAGEN
Seeking additional information/references for the following members of this family,in particular, parentage and vital stats on the spouses of these Duryee children. The citation given here, [Duryee(1955)] refers to the book "The Descendants of Charles Duryee," by Harold Taylor Duryee (1955, Canfield, OH).

Any inquiries regarding the descendants of Joost Duryea and Magdalena LeFevre, arrived Kings County, NY circa 1674, gladly received.

WILLIAM HEYER DURYEE, son of Richard Duryee and Anneke HEYER (daughter of WILLIAM HEYER and NEELTJE STOUTENBURGH), baptized 2 November 1791, died 10 January 1828, married circa 1816 BRIDGET WALLACE, born 1796, died 5 November 1867 [Duryee; apparently from her gs]. This couple resided in Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, where their children were baptized. Mr. Duryee states that the subject couple are buried in different cemeteries in Rockland County, he in New City Cemetery and she in Oak Hill Cemetery (Nyack) [Duryee(1955):61].

William Heyer Duryee and Bridget Wallace had issue [all data taken from Duryee(1955), unless otherwise noted]:

1. Ann Heyer Duryee, born 28 January 1817 [Duryee(1955)], baptized 30 March 1817 [IGI], married Jacob Blauvelt VAN HOUTEN and had issue: Elizabeth Van Houten, born 28 December 1840, baptized ClarkstownRDC, Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York 4 April 1841.

2. Catherine Van Wagenen Duryee, born 30 September 1818 [Duryee(1955)], baptized on the same day as her brother Richard, 22 February 1821 [IGI], married 17 March 1838, GreenwichRDC, Greenwich Village, New York City, PETER TRAPHAGEN. They had issue: William Heyer Traphagen, born 27 September 1838, baptized GreenwichRDC 1 January 1839; Peter Traphagen, born 27 August 1840, baptized GreenwichRDC 8 January 1841; Anna Maria Trahagen, born 10 January 1843, baptized GreenwichRDC 7 April 1841; Richard Duryee Traphagen, born 15 July 1845, baptized GreenwichRDC 10 October 1845; and Elizabeth Traphagen, born 29 August 1848, baptized GreenwichRDC 12 January 1849.

3. Richard J. Duryee, born 18 March 1820 [Duryee(1955)], baptized 22 February 1821 [IGI], ndd, married 27 July 1848 SUSAN WILSION, daughter of Joseph V. Wilson, of Shawnee, Pennsylvania. According to Mr. Duryee, this couple lived in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where Richard died. He was taken in by his Uncle Richard Duryee when his father died in 1828. One son is listed by Duryee: John Kip Duryee, nbd, ndd, nfi [Duryee(1955):61-2/4].

4.William Heyer Duryee, born 20 March 1822 [Duryee(1955)], baptized with his brothers Isaac and Charles on 7 August 1828 [IGI], married 8 November 1846 Jane Ann TALLMAN.

5. Charles Duryee, born 15 December 1825 [Duryee(1955)], baptized 7 August 1828 [IGI], date of death not obtained, married Rebecca REVERE [Duryee(1955)].

6. John Evert Duryee, born 15 December 1825 [Duryee(1955)], baptized 15 December 1825 [IGI], died 10 December 1827, buried New City Cemetery [Duryee(1955)].

7. Isaac Heyer Duryee, born 27 March 1828 [Duryee(1955)] baptized 7 August 1828, Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York [IGI & Duryee(1955)].
