Dear Richard,

Are you descended from Roelof VANDERLINDA and Susanna BRINKERHOFF? Roelof was actually Rachel's third husband. She was the widow of David Demarest,Jr. when she married Jean Durier. Howard Durie records no children by that first marriage, but it might account for the fact that she and Jean lived on Demarest land on the east side of the river in present day New Milford, NJ.

I'm afraid I have no news on your questions.
There are no Cornells indexed by HD. His indexing is very thorough and even includes names of unrelated individuals who show up in narratives or in property sales.

The only George Duryeas in HDs book are born much too late to be the ones you are looking for. 1846, 1858, 1867, 1888, one w/o birthdate of parents married in 1905.

The only "Stephen" is a Steven born in 1971. Only about a century off on that one!

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Suzanne
