Seeking the descendants of PETER DURYEE, born 19 November 1812, died 14 November 1870, married in New York City on 10 May 1840 MARY SERENA ATWOOD, born 21 April 1812, apparently in Newburyport, Massachusetts, died at Englewood, New Jersey on 9 December 1901, daughter of John Atwood and Aphia Pillsbury.
Compiled offspring of Peter Duryee and Mary Serena Atwood:
1. Frances "Fannie" Augusta Duryee, born 21 January 1841, died 28 January 1903, married at Brooklyn 10 October 1861 Frank B. Nichols.
2. Jacob Augustus Duryee, twin of Frances, born 21 January 1841, date of death not obtained, married 21 June 1866 Arianna Graves Ruggles.
3. Julia Anna Duryee, born 26 July 1842, died 4 January 1843.
4. Mary "Minnie" Emma Duryee, born 28 November 1843, died Englewood, New Jersey on 27 February 1938, married first, at Brooklyn, Kings County, LI, on 23 June 1870, James E. Bigelow, date of birth not discovered, died 5 October 1871. Mary Emma Duryee married second, date not presently known, George S. Coe.
5. John Atwood Duryee, born 4 September 1845, about whom nothing further.
6. Theodore Russell Duryee, born 3 July 1847, died 8 July 1848.
7. Margarette Serena Duryee, born 29 December 1848, died 21 March 1902, in Germany, having married 11 October 1877 Edward Prime Coe.
