Dear Cathie, My apologies, but I did not look closely enough at my note of the previous generation to John Lewis Duryea. My text includes this statement: "...the file [Duryea Verticle File, Jam Pub Library] notes that Clara Marie left a will dated 28 November 1874, which was probated 14 January 1880, naming her surviving children, with daughters' married names. Clara Marie mentions one grandson, Charles H. Grube. Letters Testamentary were issued to Benjamin K. Duryea and Mary E. Suydam on the estate of Clara W. Duryea, of Flushing, on 23 February 1880, the day her will was proved [Queens County Surrogate Court. LT Liber K:276]. Because she died well in advance of her husband and only mentions the Grube family grandchild, this will not lead us to Edna, Grace and Mildred Duryea, daughters of Frank, if, indeed, your Duryea branch is the same as this one. I will try to come up with another approach. Richard
