I have discovered recently that my gggrandfather, Richard Henry Cotten Sessums had a first wife, by the name of Lucy Durrett. I discovered them in Alabama, in Lauderdale Co. in a will book.It mentions the heirs of Francis Durret. Eliza Mitchell, wife of Wm. C. Mitchell, Lucy Sessums, wife of R. H. Sessums, Emily Barns, wife of S. Barns, George A. Durrett, all over 21. Jane Hawkins, wife of A. B. Hawkins, Elizabeth Rhea wife of Alexander Rhea, Francis Durrett,Annis Durrett, Aviraller Durrett, Wm, Durrett, Martha Durrett, all under 21.
All this took place around 1837-1838 most likely.
