Dear Maggi:
Just saw your Durling/Durland posting. I am in the middle of researching my Grandfather Durling, and have run across (or through!) the Durlands you mention, from Orange County, NY. I have them back to Holland in 1520 when the name was Dorlandt.
The progression seems to have been Dorlandt, Dorlon/Durland, Durling.
I have several Janes in my list, but none of them match, especially to a Nelson Rogers. I still have quite a few records to transfer from the nineteenth century into my database, so I will keep my eyes open for Jane and Nelson Rogers with the dates you have indicated.
If you have any other information, please e-mail me after you get this.
Best wishes,
Barry Megquier
