Looking for a Patrick Durkin, who was born in Ireland, about 1820. He married a Sarah born in Ireland. Sarah may have died in Walsh County, Dakota Territory in 1888. They had children all born in Ontario, Canada, maybe in or near Ottawa. James (1846), Katherine (1848) never married died in North Dakota, Thomas Michael Durkin (1848),Patrick (1852), Andrew (1859), Elizabeth (1863) and Sarah. I got Patrick and Sarah Durkin listed on the marriage register for their son Patrick who married Anna Kelly at Palmerston, Ontario, Canada. They were Roman Catholics and Patrick(1852)remembers going to church at a house near the railroad in Palmerston, Ontario with people outside banging on pots and pans and he called them the Orange men.
