DURKIN FAMILY OF PA

Searching for information on the Durkin Family who resided in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. My grandfather, Martin C. Durkin was born in or near Shamokin on 6DEC1853. He married Catherine Drumheiser on 23JUNE1880 at St. Edwards Catholic Church (now Mother Cabrini) in Shamokin. They had 12 Children all except one now decrased. Martin died 17JUNE1927 and is buried in St. Edwards Cemetary in Shamokin. The following information is based on conjecture with no proof as to fact. It is said that Martin's fathers name was Edward and his mother was Mary Maley (O'Mally, O'Mallia, Mallia). It is said that Mary and Edward were both born in Ireland and came to the U.S. through Boston. It is not known if they were married in the U.S. or Ireland. Word has it that they lived in Glouster, MA where Edward worked in the shipyards. Hope someone can help me fill in the blanks. Thanks Jim Durkin, Baltimore, MD
