Thanks for your response. I have found a letter from 1982 that has more detail.

Charles Durie (b. 1806, d. 1882) married Pauline Hagerup (b. 1814, d. 1874). They had 6 children born in Norway; David Stark Durie, Anna Durie, Charles W. Durie (b. 1848, d. 1922), Fredricka Durie, Arthur Durie, and Albert Durie.

Charles was my great, great grandfather. He and Pauline sailed to America around 1864 with their 6 children. The only information I have on the children is that Charles W. was my great Grandfather, his children were Mary Lee and Charles (both died young) and Helen Bird and Eugene W. Eugene is my grandfather.

I beleive Charles W. was married to a Halverson.

Hope this might help someone tie up some lose ends.
