I may need some information on the Durfee Family in the future. At some time recently, I picked up information on the family;however, I just realized I haven't put it into my files yet so don't have the line filled into my "base" earlier than perhaps 1700. I will check on what I have and see what I might like to have to find out if someone has information to fill in some "gaps". Anyway, I will give a brief sketch of what seems to be my line at the present. JOHN DURFEE married SUSANNAH EDDY. A son, BENJAMIN DURFEE,b. Jan.,22, 1733/34, Wyndham Co. CT, married Anna "unknown". A son, ELISHA DURFEE,b. Sept. 20, 1771 (Rhode Island)d. @1825, Vanderburgh Co. IN, married Unknown. A daughter, Mary Elizabeth, b.?, d. March 30, 1840,Daviess Co. KY,married Charles Hebard, July 11, 1822, Vanderburgh Co. IN. I have a good start on the family from the period. I am always interested in hearing from any one who has information on the Kentucky family of the Durfees. Some of Elisha's children married in Henderson County, KY and reared their families. Others married in Spencer Co. IN.
