Meriba, aka Mereby, aka Mirabe, aka Meribah, aka Moreby Durffee, or Durphy - married James Simpson about 1780 in Newport Landing, Nova Scotia and produced a child John, and perhaps a few more.... I am asking Some-Kind-Sole that may recognize the unique name and know who her ancestors were and give me a response.
She may have been associated with the "Planters" from New England that populated Nova Scotia after the Acadians were asked to leave. Thank you for all your help.
