My fathers name was Edmond Durfee. He was born in R.I. Oct.3,1788 of irish descent,I think. (Traced to England thus far.)
Mother was born 6/6/1788, of dutch (german/prussian) descent. her name was Magdalena "lanna" Pickle and her parents were from holland. (stone arabia,NY) I think they were "High Dutch" (members of the dutch reformed church where the family records were located. Grandma, Magdalena "Dolly" Pickle was buried in the Dutch Street Cemetery, Stephens Mills, madison County,NY)
I was born in the state of New York, madison county, town of lenos (lennox), mar.6,1813, and lived there until I was 9 yrs. old. I have one older sister, Martha< and 4 younger bro. and sis. also born at Lennox. Martha
