Good question! Jeanette Durfee from Almo, Idaho, compared it to some other pictures that she had discovered. I can't remember the details right now but she thought that she had it pretty well covered. Some of Francillo Jr's descendants also claimed that the picture was of Francillo. I'll try to check with Jeanette and see for sure what proof she had if any! Looks like we need to do some more verifying. Thanks! We live in Almo. My husband is also a descendant of Henry D. through Lorenzo. Where are you living? There are a lot of us trying to put the pieces together on this line, so appreciate your input. I hadn't realized until just lately that James hadn't come over until so late. I also hadn't realized how many James Madison Durfees there were in the family. He must have been a pretty good guy.
