My earliest identifiable Durfee ancestor is Ira Fairbanks Durfee. I have a death certificate that says he was born in Syracuse 11-9-1831 to a John Durfee, but that is unproven. He died 4-17-1921 in Lake County, Perry Township, Ohio. He had a son Otis, and 2 daughters Estelle and Rosalee. Estelle Married James Rowlee. I would love to converse with anyone who might have info on this line, or leads from NY.
