Hi, Mark, My husband is related through Francillo's son, Henry Dennison. The Family Search shows John Durfee with about five different fathers. As far as I know, there is no documentation to show where he really fits in. Francillo's grandchildren---both through his first wife and his second---have the tradition of the immigrant ancestor coming into the U.S. from Ireland, one suggesting that he came through British Canada. There are several family members working on this problem right now, so hopefully they will find some leads. Mercy Foster is also a mystery. No one has been able to find her family so far. There is a clue that she might be the daughter of Thomas Manchester. Charles Durfee in this forum sent me an attachment stating that Thomas Manchester of Cranston, R.I. left land to his grandson, James (I think) Durfey. Thinking perhaps that Mercy was married before. Do you have family group sheets on the people back to John and Mercy? We are also needing to research Francillo's wife, Mariam (or Miriam). The family group sheet that I have on here is quite incomplete. I do have some information on her father and grandfather. They were Quakers, and her grandfather was a rather famous clockmaker. I am trying to collect the information into family histories, and not moving very rapidly. I do have one comleted on Francillo that I am trying to get posted on the internet within the next short time. Our family lives in Almo. Where are you living? Keep in touch, Janis Durfee
