Hi,

Does anyone know anything about a William Henry Durant who was born in London, England around 1803 and immigrated to the United States in the 1820s? He is in the 1860 census of Preston, (West) Virginia. I also found him in the 1830, 1840, and 1850 census in Hocking and Jefferson counties in Ohio. He had a daughter named Emily Jan Durant (who is my Great-Great Grandmother) as well as a daughter named Sarah M. Durant and may have had other children. Does anyone know who his Parents were or where in England they were from? Or does anyone know about any Durants (Possibly with names William or Henry) who were in the London area in the early 1800s?
