Do you know where your Ann Durant was born. I have transcribed some Durant births from the birth indexes (civil registration) and there is an Ann Durrant born in 1848 in Bridgwater, England. If you think this may be your Ann, you could order the birth certificate which should give you her parents names.

Have you tried looking in the 1851 census in England.

I will email you my Durant family file in case you can make a connection to my line of Durants.

Do you have a marriage certificate for her and Alvin Cole. Won't that give you the name of her father and then you can request the birth certificate only if this Ann Durant has this father.
