Catherine Dupuis m. Joseph Desfosses 1767 Nicolet QC

Looking for info on Catherine's ancestors. She is my g-g-g-grandmother. I was researching the Desfosses family and one website says Joseph married an "Indian woman." Catherine's great-grandmother is Marie Angeline Pelletier-Antaya and the Pelletier-Antaya family is disputed to be Amerindian, as it is called then. That whole issue has been controversial. I'd like to know if anyone else has info on this family line. Thanks.
