Hi All,

I am a Dupuis descendant via three different lines from Michel Dupeux and Marie-Francoise Gautreaux. I have heard about a medical condition which affects anyone with Dupuis blood recieving anesthetic, but unfortunately can't remember the name of it.

My own cousin, with the same three lines, had to be tested before her latest surgery when an up-to-date physician questioned her ancestry. As soon as he heard she had Dupuis blood, the surgery was delayed until she was tested. Fortunately, she does not have the condition.

Does anyone know more specific information concerning this? For instance, is it only in Essex County Ontario descendants, or other?

Any help appreciated on this important subject to all Dupuis descendants.
