My maternal grandmother was born in Tillbury Ont. around 1886. She was adopted by the Labonte family, but her mother was a 13 yr old Dupuis girl, and 15 year old father named Phaneuf. She was raised as Elizabeth Labonte She married around 1910 in Tillbury to Antoine Blain. Had two girls there named Denise and Alice, moved to Elk Point,Alberta where my mother Olivine was born Aug.22/1914. Olivine Blain married Alexandre Lefebvre in Cold Lake, Alberta in 1938. I was born in 1938. Elizabeth had seven children. Her husband died at 32, and she died in 1962 at 75 years old.Who is her real mother? And who is her real Father? There is no record so far, and it was very difficult for my grandmother when she was alive to get her federal pension! She didn't exist?
