I am looking for the parents/family/information related to Medard Dupuis. Legend would have it that he worked for the Hudson Bay Company as a clerk then Courier du bois in the early-mid 1800's He eventually wound up in the Savannah Illinois area where he married Sarah Woodruff, daughter of Newton Woodruff ( originally from Connecticut?) Their children were, Newton, Medard, Ebert, Denise and Marie. Medard's son, Tom, by a previous relationship, remained in the Savannah, Illinois area. He ran the family smelting business.
Any information you may have relating to Medard would be appreciated.
