I am researching the history of the Dupre" family that I believe came from Canada to Houma, LA. The information that I have is Mathurin Fortunat Dupre was married to Azelie Edmire Pitre on May 7, 1827. I don't know how many children they had but one son was name Reynold Joseph Dupre, born on Sept. 23, 1839, married Virgie May Naqwuin. Their son is Onesime Dupre, born on June 17, 1836, married Rosalie Felicite Bourg on April 23, 1860, their son John Clearville born March 29, 1861 and married Liza Maire Henri (Henry) on Sept. 24, 1883, their son Ellis Dupre born May 7, 1896 and married Justilia Vito on Feb. 23, 1914. If anyone has information about this family please contact me. I have been researching this family history for my husband for over three years.
