Jacques DUPRE (b.Montreal,Canada) m. abt 1742 Marie Anne Bienvenu (b. probably Bretagne, France). They were the parents of Laurent Dupre, born 1743 at the Alibamons, Louisiana. (Gulf Coast region of then Colonial Louisiana and now part of the present state of Alabama). They later moved to New Orleans, where Mary Anne died in 1771. Laurent married Marie Josephe FONTENOT (d/o Joseph Belaire' FONTENOT and Marie Jeanne BRIGNAC, all also residents of the Alibamons) and later moved to the Opelousas District(St. Landry Parish), Louisiana. Laurent and Marie Josephe's son, Jacques DUPRE, became Governor of Louisiana in the early 1840's. Looking for Jacques Guillaume DUPRE's parents and siblings as well as those of his wife, Mary Anne Bienvenu.
